"Yan Xin" (研心), inspired by the Buddhist path of "inward seeking," signifies a deep exploration and understanding of the inner world.

"Jing Guan" (静观), validated by contemporary psychology as the practice of mindfulness—cultivates inner peace and clarity through present-moment awareness.

MindSeed, carries a dual meaning:

The Seed of the Mind – Mindfulness begins with subtle awareness, like sowing seeds of wisdom in the heart.

The Seed of Awakening – The ultimate goal of practice is liberation, with this seed guiding us toward awakening.

We are dedicated to planting these two seeds in modern life through scientifically structured mindfulness training, empowering you to:

  • Heal anxiety and depression, rediscovering joy in the present moment.

  • See through the fog of distractions, revealing life’s deeper essence.

  • Move from self-awareness to a natural state of ease and flow.

Just as Zen wisdom finds new vitality in modern science, MindSeed will accompany you:

🌱 Cultivating the soil of the heart with mindfulness as our tool.

💡 Nurturing the seedlings of awakening with the light of awareness.

MindSeed is your companion on this inward journey—exploring, awakening, and embracing life with clarity and presence.

About the Founder

Hi, I'm Janice.

I'm a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, trained at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University. I'm also a RYT® 500 yoga teacher in the ISHTA lineage of Tantric Yoga, a Himalayan Singing Bowls Therapist, and a certified Master Spiritual Life Coach.

But before any of those titles, I was just someone who felt lost.

I had so many questions about my life. I didn't know where I was going, and honestly, I wasn't even sure what I wanted. It was mindfulness practice that slowly helped me see myself differently—more clearly, more gently. That shift didn't just change me; it woke me up to what I truly want to do: to help others who are walking through that same fog.

I've led multiple 8-week MBSR courses, worked with private clients, co-hosted retreats, and organized many mindfulness workshops and in-person events. I am a bilingual instructor offering guidance seamlessly in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Beyond the certificates, I bring years of dedicated yoga and Vipassana practice into everything I do. My guidance is grounded in both personal experience and scientific evidence — warm, genuine, and rooted in real, hands-on practice, not just empty words.

So here's what I can offer you, from my heart:

If you're feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, or just the heaviness of daily life—I can walk with you, using real MBSR tools, to find pockets of calm and clarity.

If you feel stuck, like you're just going through the motions, and you're not sure what your purpose is anymore—let's sit down together and gently uncover what actually matters to you.

And if you're longing for a deeper sense of connection with yourself—through yoga or meditation—I'll be right there beside you, step by step.

You don't need to have everything figured out. You just need to be willing to try.
